WEDNESDAY LADIES’ DAY

WEDNESDAY’S LADIES’ LEAGUE

The Wednesday Ladies’ League offers golf for members and non-members.

The competition takes place over 9 holes (usually the Front), but many participants elect to play a full 18 holes on the day. There are three sets of tee times reserved for league play – 9:00 – 9:30 a.m. ; 1:00 – 1:30 p.m. and 5:00 – 5:30 p.m. but competitors can register and play at any available time. To qualify for League Play, players must sign in and pay the entry fee of $7.00 (plus green and cart fees if applicable) at the Pro Shop before teeing off. The sign-up sheet for the above times is on the bulletin board.

A League scorecard (white) must be completed and signed by the players and submitted to the Pro Shop. Scoring for the competition is done by staff, and uses a quota-point system, which takes into account each player’s handicap. Please note that the league will maintain a separate “League Handicap” for competition purposes (New for 2026 season). This League Handicap will be updated throughout the season based solely on league scores and will operate independently from any official Golf Canada index.

1. Members with a registered Golf Canada index will have their current handicap applied for Week One of league play.

2. Players without a registered Golf Canada index will be handled as follows:

a. If prior league scores are available, a starting handicap may be assigned based on last season’s results.

b. If no prior scores exist, players will compete in the first two league matches “as scratch players in A flight”. After two recorded nine hole league scores, the system will automatically generate a League Handicap for ongoing play.

Scores are posted online here after each week. Individual winnings in the form of Club vouchers which can be used for green fees, power cart rentals, and Pro Shop merchandise are distributed via a board in the ladies’ locker room.

There are two scrambles scheduled this season; May 27th and September 23rd. Each will have dinner and prizes. Everyone, regardless of league play or membership, is invited to enter the scrambles.
